Cookie Time is fast approaching---and what a busy time of year that is! While perusing Pinterest I came across an amazing looking recipe for Thin Mint Truffles that use GS Thin Mint cookies----they looked too good NOT to share with the troop!
Complete instructions with photos and even a video can be found at the delightful blog The Cookin' Cowgirl--

You know I will be buying a few extra boxes to save just for making these!

Our First Camp Out--Mom & Me
Since they only offer Camp Training once per year in our area, and it happens to fall in April every year (which leads us directly into the heat-of-an-oven time of year) we have just now FINALLY done our first full-on troop camp out!
Girls and adults alike had a blast! And other than one very unfortunate accident which led to a broken ankle for an adult----

Aquarium Overnight
Wow-weee, what fun we had on our overnight visit to the Downtown Aquarium in Houston, Texas this past weekend. Click HERE for their official link.
We had a great time riding the rides, especially the train ride through the shark tunnel! We saw all kinds of amazing fish and other aquatic and rain forest life.
We spent the night making crafts, petting stingrays, working on our scavenger hunt and watching the white tigers! Man, those tigers are HUGE--especially when they are walking around at night!
Sunday morning we ate breakfast and met Zulu, an African Gray parrot. She was awesome!
A great time was had by all! Thanks to all the girls and mamas that made the weekend possible.
